Научное изучение Арктики – географически обусловленная область много- и междисциплинарных исследований, анализ развития которых на глобальном и национальном уровнях представляет интерес для библиометрической аналитики. Основой для такого анализа может служить информация о производимом в мире научном знании, которую аккумулируют библиографические базы данных (БД) разного уровня. Цель статьи – дать сравнительную оценку степени охвата арктической тематики в трех известных БД: Web of Science Core Collection, Google Scholar и ВИНИТИ РАН; выполнить библиометрический обзор арктических исследований (в мире и в России), используя глобальную политематическую БД Web of Science Core Collection и отечественную БД ВИНИТИ РАН. На основе специально сформированной выборки публикаций, проиндексированных в БД Web of Science Core Collection за 1980–2020 гг., оценены масштаб производства научного знания об Арктике, вклад наиболее значимых стран – участниц исследований, включая Россию; показана высокая степень международной научной кооперации. Выявлен топ-10 наиболее продуктивных в изучении Арктики российских городов, оценен публикационный вклад сибирских ученых, заметно нарастивших свою активность с 2014 г. С помощью БД ВИНИТИ РАН, имеющей больший охват российских публикаций, охарактеризована тематика работ, связанных с изучением сибирского региона Арктики. В частности, показано, что большая часть из них за последние три года направлена на проблемы геологии, решение задач экономики и энергетики.
The scientific study of the Arctic is a geographically determined area of multi- and interdisciplinary research, the analysis of the development of which at the global and national levels is of interest for bibliometric analytics. The basis for such an analysis can be information about the scientific knowledge produced in the world, which is accumulated by bibliographic databases (DBs) of different levels. The aim of this article is to give a comparative assessment of the degree of coverage of the Arctic topics in three well-known DBs: Web of Science Core Collection, Google Scholar and VINITI RAS; perform a bibliometric review of Arctic research (in the world and in Russia) using the global polythematic DB Web of Science Core Collection and the domestic DB VINITI RAS. Based on a specially formed sample of publications indexed in the DB Web of Science Core Collection for the period 1980-2020, the scale of production of scientific knowledge about the Arctic, the contribution of the most significant countries participating in research, including Russia, are estimated; a high degree of international scientific cooperation is shown. The Top 10 most productive Russian cities in the study of the Arctic have been identified, the publication contribution of Siberian scientists, who have significantly increased their activity since 2014, has been evaluated. With the help of the DB VINITI RAS, which has a greater coverage of Russian publications, the subjects of works related to the study of the Siberian region of the Arctic are characterized. In particular, it is shown that most of them over the past three years have been aimed at problems of geology, solving problems of economics and energy.
