Рассматриваются методологические подходы, используемые в библиотековедческих исследованиях: количественный, качественный и смешанный. Особое внимание уделено смешанному подходу в контексте его философского обоснования, выявления механизмов комбинирования количественных и качественных методов, возможным средствам повышения внутренней и внешней валидности результатов исследований.

The author treats methodological approaches used in library science: quantitative, qualitative and a mixed one. Special attention is paid to the mixed approach in the context of its philosophical justification, revealing the mechanisms of combining quantitative and qualitative methods, possible means of increasing the internal and external validity of investigation results.
