The influence of information technologies on library and its architecture

Abstract

The article deals with the design of a new type of buildings (media-library), which appeared as a result of the transformation of the traditional library under the influence of contemporary social, economic and technological conditions. Identified and defined are the basic principles of designing, main requirements to spatial composition of buildings, formed under the influence of information technology.
