The article discusses problems of research and representation of the Buddhist literary tradition in Buryatia. It shows main factors of forming the tradition, gives characteristics of its current state and transformation under modern conditions. The approaches to a database generation and archaeographic investigations results presentation are discribed. The methodology of authority data control and GIS technology to create online information resource are represented.

The article highlights problems characterizing the state of modern book communication, gives the definition of «electronic book» based on which objects classification in the e-book structure is carried out, taking into account the content of state standards and scientific research in the document theory.

This article examines modern trends of the educational and scientific publishing development in the Republic of Tyva. The author uses statistics and unpublished sources provided information on the activity of largest centers in the scientific and educational publishing fields in the republic.

The article considers legal-regulatory frameworks for military libraries different types. Their creation was carried out by the War Office formed in 1802; this fact gave grounds to attribute its book collections to the departmental libraries category. The military administration activity to establish and improve legal frameworks for these libraries is presented. Fundamental documents contributed to military librarianship history are represented and analyzed. The analysis of legal documents for military libraries arrangement permits to conclude: in the first half of the XIX century a reason of their misery was the lack of legislative frameworks, in the second half of the XX century the military department developed legal frameworks that covered all aspects of the various type libraries life and activities. The introduction of the military district management system led to creation of libraries in headquarters and offices of military districts, garrison officers' meetings with libraries; improved the organizational-financial position of military units and institutions libraries. Reorganizing the Military Ministry control organs took place along with the reform of the local military offices. Main documents regulated their activities were the following: Regulation «On the officers’ libraries establishment in the Corps of Engineers» 1838, «Regulations on officers’ libraries in the Corps of Military Engineers» 1863 and 1889, «The Charter of military meetings» 1874, «Regulations on officers' meetings in certain regiments» 1884, «The instruction on the libraries content of military-educational institutions subordinated to their Chief Governance» 1882, «The charter of internal service», orders of the military authorities, circulars of the General Staff, positions on the military training schools, orders and circulars of the War Department Chief Governances, military district commanders, orders and directions of military units and commanders, private rules, statutes, regulations, instructions of military libraries. Adopted legal instruments united military libraries of various types into a united system of military librarianship.

The article considers the family reading tradition and its formation in library science; a special attention is paid to approaches of its understanding and interpretation.

The article deals with book collecting as a way to preserve ethnic and cultural identity. The author examines Sabina Jaroszewska personality as the Polish library creator, her book assemblage history and composition, prospects for detailed studying the Polish collection fragment in A.S. Pushkin Tomsk Regional Universal Scientific Library (TRUSL) stocks are outlined. For the first time catalogues and inventories of the TRUSL Foreign book department are used as well as interviews with Academician Rostislav Karpov, who personally knew the collector.

The basis of a documentary-information approach in the post-non-classical library and bibliographic sciences is the documentary information theory, as well as presentation of library and bibliographic institutions and services as a united complex self-developing system. The article emphasizes studying the institutional information-documentary process, in the structure of which syntactic, semantic and pragmatic components are singled out. It underlines that library-bibliographical institutions implement a semantic component aimed maintaining the semantic symmetry, and a pragmatic one connected with information updating due to bibliographic activity, all these permits to consider library-bibliographical documents and information as a resource. It is noted, that this approach makes it possible, firstly, to consider complementary informational-documentation aspects of library-bibliographic activities (to refuse the documentary and information paradigms opposition), and secondly, to justify the status of library-bibliographic institutions as organizers rather than the documentary-information process intermediaries. The approach methodological potential is analyzed and shown.

The article reviews the most significant changes in searching models and using patterns of readers while working with scientific literature. A shift in the search paradigm and reading models is caused by both common trends of science and technology development, and specific changes in librarianship. Furthermore, an inverse relation is also true, when knowledge on readers’ behavior can be effectively used in acquisition modeling, in providing researchers with scientific information, in revising networks of library access, as well as in improving the editorial policy of academic journals.

A technological approach for developing a digital library model to support the blended learning in Novosibirsk State University is considered in the article. The term «digital library» in this work is interpreted as an information management system of structured cataloged collections of interactive training and reference materials. The information system architecture, principles of integration with digital repository and rules of metadata representation and transformation are described. A special emphasis is paid on the activity with key terms dictionaries used for information resources systematization and classification, and modeling relations to the facts.

The article is devoted to research of library sites implementing methodological support at the regions. The author analyzes special headings structure, purposes of the regional methodological centers, main directions, forms and methods of library activities. The paper shows efficiency of regional sites and their special headings on different directions of libraries methodological support. A priority is the library staff training and retraining. The model site is proposed, which reveals components and functions of special headings for libraries methodological support.

The article gives the document flow characteristics on the problem of libraries methodical activity for 2008-2013 based on the documents bibliometric analysis, as well as on generalization, comparison, and a typological method. The author gets a representation on the microflow quantitative changes, its thematic, specific, geographical and publishing structures, and printing activity of certain researchers. Microflows of non-periodical editions (books and brochures) and articles from periodicals are considered separately from each other. Articles prevail in the flow. The volume of books and brochures microflow makes the tenth part of the total number of documents selected for research. The identical highly productive directions in thematic structure of two microflows are found: experience of introducing information-communication technologies and techniques to perform library-bibliographic processes. The perspective directions of researches are revealed: libraries analytical activity, library innovatics theory, library innovations legal regulation and economy. In 2013 the positive tendency on the volume of documents release was outlined in both microflows. In the books-brochures flow it was detected types of editions which aren't defined in the state standard specification: methodical, scientific-practical, scientific-methodical manuals and methodic recommendations. The main circle of magazines and conference proceedings publishing researches on libraries methodical work is defined. E. N. Guseva, T. V. Dergileva, V. G. Sviryukova, Yu. B. Avrayeva, I. Yu. Krasilnikova, N. V. Peregoyedova and N. S. Redkina are noted with the greatest printing activity. The author concludes that studying documentary support of this library activity direction is a basis for its further planning and is necessary under conditions of continuously changing information and social environment.
