Abstract
The article is devoted to bibliologic researches of the collection of Slavic manuscripts from the library of the Greek monastery of St. Paul in Mount Athos by Archimandrite Leonid (Kavelin). It tells about the history of the library of the Greek monastery of St. Paul. Through the study of various unpublished and published sources we were able to reestablish one of the moments of the history of the Serbian-Slavic manuscripts in this library, first presented in this article. A published source is a scientific work by Archimandrite Leonid (Kavelin) «Slavic-Serbian stocks in Mount Athos, in the monasteries Hilandar and St. Paul». Particular attention is paid to such a valuable source as Archimandrite correspondence with the inhabitants of Mount Athos monasteries, in particular, Hieromonk Macarius (Sushkin), librarian Azary (Poptsov), V. A. Dashkov - a director of Moscow Public Museum. The monastery library was visited by famous personalities in the history of book culture such as Archimandrite Porfiry (Uspensky), Archimandrite Antonin (Kapustin), archaeographer and Slavicist V. I. Grigorovich, English traveler and writer Robert Curzon. The article objective is to establish the role of Archimandrite Leonid (Kavelin) in saving Slavic manuscripts of St. Paul's monastery library through their acquisition of Rumyantsev Public Museum in Moscow. Unfortunately, due to a number of circumstances, the manuscripts were not acquired, and were burned at the beginning of the XX century.

Abstract
Preserving the historical-cultural heritage is an actual problem of fundamental scientific research. A special place in this heritage is the book culture including libraries - state, public, private, personal ones. Book collections of scientists refer to the special section of libraries. A holistic view of the outstanding researcher book collections allows complementing and enriching ideas about the researcher creative laboratory, as well as providing additional materials on the history of science, book culture and, even widly, the history of Russia. The article is devoted to the collection of books from the library of a Russian physicist-chemist, Professor of the Physical Faculty of Moscow State University, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, V. K. Semenchenko, who is a major specialist in chemistry of thermodynamics, theory of electrolyte solutions, surface tension. This study is research continuation carried on in the Central Scientific Library of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (CSL UB RAS) to investigate scientific and cultural heritage of the Urals and Russi. The research methodological basis is modern concepts of the history of book business in a broad socio-cultural perspective using the following techniques: bibliographic, functional, analytical-thematic, paleographic, systematic, bio-bibliographic and others. The small collection of V. K. Semenchenko’s books (100 units) entered the collection of CSL UB RAS in 1993 under the mediation of Academician Vladimir Pavlovich Skripov, Director of the Institute of Thermophysics of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, who was a former student and postgraduate of V. K. Semenchenko. The composition of the book collection is represented in the chart. There are many works of famous scholars, Rus- sian and Soviet classics of science of the XX century (books included in Digital Library «Russian Scientific Heritage») in V. K. Semenchenko’s collection. 42 volumes of the library have autographs of their owner V. K. Semenchenko. The books have inscriptions of authors, friends and relatives addressed to V. K. Semenchenko. The book collection uniqueness is evident due to book «Theory of atom» by of V. K. Semenchenko presented to the library by the researcher’s daughter. The book page-proofs (layout) were done in 1941. This book remained in a single copy. Many books and authors of V. K. Semenchenko’s books collection are of interest in terms of studying the history of the world science development. Thus, studying the book collection of a physicists contributes to investigating the acquisition history and stocks composition of CSL UB RAS, book culture, Russian and world science, and, in general, into the country historical and cultural heritage preservation.

Abstract
The article gives a brief characteristic of the Yusupovs’ book collection. The eighteenth century was the time when collecting got very popular in Russia. Book collections became the main part of the Russian aristocratic society collection and formed private rich collections. The library of Yusupovs’ princely family is an example of such book collection. The study of this matter involves certain difficulties because Yusupovs’ library was divided into several parts and kept in different palaces and country estates in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Spasskoe-Kotovo, Arkhangelskoe, Rakitnoe. It is known that Yusupovs’ library has consisted of about 60,000 of books, 400 of them belonged to the earliest Russian printed art. B. G. Yusupov and his wife I. M. Yusupova set up the traditions of book collecting. The Yusupovs’ library has enraptured his contemporaries. A. S. Pushkin visited this library. His monument was raised in Arkhangelskoe in the poet’s name. N. B. Yusupov inherited his grandfather’s interest in dramatic and music art, and replenished the collection with rare musical editions and claviers. He went down in history as a vice-director of the Imperial Public Library, its patron and the donator. Moreover, he wrote a book about the Yusupovs family history. Felix Yusupov inherited the writer’s talent from his grandfather N. B. Yusupov, and wrote two books. Studying the history of Yusupovs` book collection gives an idea of book and bibliographic culture development throughout the mid XVIII - early XIX centuries. Nowadays the library in Arkhangelskoe has a significant book collection, which is considered to be Russian national treasury.

Abstract
The article characterizes book distribution of regional publishers evidently for Siberia and the Far East. It states the significant difference in the patterns of book distribution of central and regional publishing houses; identifies key directions of book distribution: book assignment and book trade. University book publishing as the most important player of the regional book market distributes its products without applying book trade to provide the education process. Book assignment is typical for publishers working «under the order». Regional publishers use the traditional book trade in two ways: by creating own book-selling enterprises (chain stores, newsstands; small book-selling objects (stands, trays), Internet shopping), and by using the existing book-selling infrastructure (traditional and Internet book-stores, libraries, fairs). Overall, production marketing is the main problem of regional publishing business, and gaining a prosperous experience of book distribution determines the viability and success of the book business enterprises.

Abstract
The article presents results of studying the landscape of book selling in Tyumen region carried out in 2016 within the project «The cultural map of Russia. Literature. Reading» which was initiated by the Federal Agency on Press and Mass Communications and « Book Industry» journal in 2015. It is the first study of book trade on the whole territory of Tyumen region including its two autonomous regions (Khanty-Mansi (KhMAO) and Yamal-Nenets (YNAO) ones). The objects of research are the regional administrative centers (Tyumen, Khanty-Mansiisk, and Salekhard), cities with population over 100,000 (Surgut, Nizhnevartovsk and Nefteyugansk in KhMAO and Novyi Urengoy and Noyabrsk in YNAO, as well as the two most representative cities in the south of Tyumen region (Tobolsk and Ishim). The research methodology and techniques are based on the combination of landscape reconstruction strategies, social survey and a comparative-typological analysis. The authors study the state of traditional regional bookstores, either universal shops by their book assortment, or niche (specialized) ones, federal network shops, and Internet shops. The research revealed general well-being of book selling industry in the region alongside its negative dynamics in KhMAO and YNAO due to decline in bookshops number and total shop floor area occupied with books. Tyumen is the leader in bookselling with over 50 bookshops. The ratio of the number of Tyumen residents to a bookshop is 1:14411. In Tobolsk and Ishim the situation is different: the bookshops - residents ratio is 1:14574 and 1:16380 correspondingly. The bookselling landscape in KhMAO is more varied than that one in YNAO. Surgut is the leader of bookselling in KhMAO where there is 1 bookshop per 15847 residents. In three main cities of YNAO (Salekhard, Novyi Urengoy and Noyabrsk) the ratio of the residents per one bookshop is 1:30059. As a whole, a development tendency in the region is close interrelation of different forms of the cultural space. Such symbiosis allows saving rental payments and increasing the effectiveness of book products promotion. The most important feature of the bookselling landscape in Tyumen region is the absence of any links between the bookselling companies in thearea. Obviously, the problem of creating an integrated book environment (publishing and bookselling) remains to be solved.

Abstract
The paper considers mechanisms of extrapolating the axiological function on the library stock formation and creating its concept of values. The author show the latter influence upon the criterion system of primary and secondary selection, on correlation of the hybrid stock elements. Regularities of the library transformation in the electronic epoch - how the information-technological progress predetermines changes in the library paradigm of values - are exposed. This new library philosophy is being created on the cross-road of a series of sciences. Its aim is reflexive comprehension of the library role in economic, cultural and technological progress of the community, in socialization and creative development of a person, harmonizing social relations. The empiric base and starting point of generalized notions about the sphere of librarianship activities is the whole complex of all forms of social consciousness: science, policy, law, economy, moral, art and so on. Library axiology, which is a perspective direction of librarianship, is being developed successfully in the new philosophy frames. As this axiological function is inherent to the library essence mainly, it's revealed in each of so called «inner», system forming functions, such as: information-analytical, memorial, etc. Interacting with technological processes of library service and collections formation the axiological function also favors the development of various applied functions - educational, cognitive, enlightening ones and others.

Abstract
Significant changes in the library network development of Tambov region have occurred as a result of reforming the administrative-territorial division. The counties and townships abolition has led to a change of the libraries typology. The Central Provincial Library was first transformed into the Central District Library (before 1934), then - into the Central Municipal one (until 1937), and, finally, to the Regional one (in 1937). A specific feature of the period under review was opening a central library in each district (with a network of mobile libraries), as well as the organizing stationary libraries at enterprises and large state- and collective-farms. Urban population was mostly served by a network of trade union libraries, rural inhabitants - by a library network of the People's Commissariat of Education. In 1940 the number of public libraries in Tambov region reached 552, including 453 ones in the countryside. The network of public (mass) libraries included the following libraries: state district ones - 42, state municipal ones - 4, state rural ones - 102, state children ones - 7, village state public library and reading rooms - 158, public libraries at the regional culture houses and other club facilities - 12, collective-farm ones - 56, trade union ones - 131, public libraries of other agencies and organizations - 27. Strengthening ideological pressure on library services resulted in the tightening of censorship, mass withdrawal of the ideologically harmful literature. Collections of seized books marked «do not give masses» were created in the libraries as special funds. New editions entered the region in a limited number. In general, in the 1930s the book composition in the library stocks of Tambov region is characterized by the following data by branches of knowledge: anti-religious literature was 2,2%, social studies - 19,5%, natural science - 4,6%, applied sciences - 6,2%, agriculture - 5,1%, history and geography - 6,5%, fiction - 28,7%, others - 27,2%. The total library fund had not enough fiction and books on natural history, book sections on technology and agriculture needed accession. By the beginning of 1941 the amount of the public libraries fund in Tambov region was totaled 843,948 copies. To improve significantly the level of library service the nation-wide measures have been taken, among them were the following: Library Campaign, All-Union Library Census, All-Union competition for the best area on performing the librarianship in the countryside. They were aimed at drawing public attention to the serious problems existed in the librarianship. However, the Library Campaign was not properly developed in Tambov region. Scanty funding, general unpreparedness, inadequate qualifications of librarians and other factors affected negatively to achieve this goal.

Abstract
Information on scientific publications of Pushchino Research Center staff is originally seen as an important component of implementing the library information function of the Centralized Library System of the Central Library in Pushchino, which is a department of the Library on Natural Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences (LNS RAS). During the library activity, since 1968, it could distinguish three main periods in creating and developing the information-bibliographic support of users’ publication activity in all research institutes of the Center. The first stage is starting creation of the employees card files, based on which the bibliographical indices of scientists’ publications have been published. The accuracy and completeness of accumulated information has laid an excellent foundation for transition to electronic databases reflecting the researchers’ works of all institutions of the Center. The second stage has shown that in some cases a scientist’s bibliography is incomplete, but ease of information entry about publications and well-chosen software allows revealing all the information about the publication to the reader in a convenient form. The third stage is characterized by emerging new forms of information provision about scientific publications. The copyrights profiles have appeared for identifying standards of the scientific works authorship that allow creating a tool to search and analyze both publication activity of organizations and researchers. But at this stage the problem of creating a complete and reliable scientific bibliography list in scientometric databases has not solved yet.

Abstract
The development of information technologies for creating, storing, processing, transmission and use of data in the form of messages and information flows, as well as the rapid growth of digital information and information resources made it necessary to clarify the classical approaches to identify aspects of information and ways to measure their volumes. The traditional approach is based on the measurement of the volume of syntactic, semantic and pragmatic components not quite fully reflects all the qualitative aspects of information communications and information flows due to the presence of their dominant share of the emotional component. It is proposed to allocate the emotional aspect of additional informational messages and flows, to measure its volume based on the proposed methodology. The paper analyzes the necessity of refining quality characteristics of information messages and information flows. The work objective is to identify high-quality aspects of information messages and flows under conditions of sharp increasing the amounts of stored and transmitted data in a digital format, and developing the mechanism of the volume assessment of an emotional component of an information message or information flow. Studied problems are the following: to analyze dynamics of the growing amount of digital information in world information resources; to consider the classical approach to measure information based on syntactic, semantic and pragmatic aspects; to show the value and share of an emotional component in information messages and information flows; to offer evaluation methods of an information emotional component volume. Data for a research are obtained from the Internet open sources, educational-scientific literature. The data analysis has been carried on by determining structural logical relationships of the researched object. Main logic: 1) growing amounts of digital information is observed in the world; 2) dynamics of the pragmatic (most valuable) component share is considerably lagged behind at the background of such rapid growth; 3) it is necessary to resolve a problem: «What is the main part of digital information amount consisted of?»; 4) as there are consumers of information resources with extremely low pragmatic usefulness, developers of such resources pledge in them an additional emotional component to involve the greater audience; 5) quantitative indices of information sources activities should be used to assess the information emotional component amounts. The obtained results are the following: a relative share of the pragmatic component promptly decreases at the background of rapid growth of digital information amount; the emotional component of information messages and flows is the most significant while measuring their amount and quality; it is offered to estimate the degree of the information resource emotional efficiency by means of an aggregative dimensionless indicator; saturation of information messages and flows with an emotional component should determine further tendencies of upgrading the information space, including library resources.
