The use of welfare indicators to assess the contribution of library branch to socio-economic development of the region
Abstract
To assess the input of library branch into the social and economic development of a region an attempt is made to analyse the application of the social and economic indicators used as the characteristics of social and economic system of a region is given. Indicators are grouped according to the principles used in system of national accounts and analysed on a number of characteristics: measurement area, a technique of calculation and (or) ranges of definition, an information source, an estimation of application possibility, aim (problem) of use of a technique.
